We meet you as you step off the cruise ship shuttle and take you beyond the city on a relaxed, guided tour designed to showcase the best of Burnie .
Our first stop is the Upper Burnie Lookout, where you’ll enjoy sweeping views over Bass Strait and a great vantage point back toward your cruise ship.
From there, we visit the award-winning Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens — a peaceful and uniquely Tasmanian setting where you may be lucky enough to spot a platypus in the wild. You can also enjoy a tea or coffee in the café or sample local Tasmanian wines.
We then continue to the charming seaside town of Penguin, home to the iconic “Big Penguin” statue, with time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the coastal atmosphere.
Before and after your tour, you’ll also have time to explore Burnie’s vibrant waterfront and market area at your own pace.

Discover Tasmania’s wildlife on a scenic inland drive to Wings Wildlife Park, showcasing rolling hills and countryside (approx. 1 hour).
Enjoy 1 hour 45 minutes at Wings — the perfect amount of time to explore, hand-feed kangaroos, and see Tasmanian devils, koalas, and wombats. Entry is included, with optional animal encounters available.
Return via a stunning coastal drive, passing through the charming seaside village of Penguin which takes a little over one hour.
